Djurgarden defender Daniel Amartey is eager to see a move to Liverpool happen.

The Daily Star says Liverpool will green-light a £1.5m move for Amartey, who has confirmed he has already spoken to manager Brendan Rodgers about joining the Reds.

"I have been in contact with the Liverpool management," he said.

"I hope we can sort a transfer out - it's a great club to play for."
