Diego Godin's departure from Atletico Madrid is set to be confirmed on Tuesday.

Marca reports Atletico have announced Godin will hold a press conference at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday.

The Uruguayan is set to announce his departure from the club in which he has spent the last nine years, with Inter believed to be his next destination.

The Atletico captain has won eight titles in red and white, as well as leading his side to two Champions League finals.

Diego Simeone is now faced with the difficult task of finding a replacement for his reliable stalwart at the heart of the defence.
