Diarra happy for any Arsenal chance

Lassana Diarra is happy with his move to Arsenal.

"I'm an Arsenal player and I don't care which kind of game I have to play - Carling Cup or FA Cup or championship - for me every game is very important," he told ArsenalTV Online.

"We want to win every game, everything. But I'm ready for Tuesday."

Diarra insists that while he enjoyed beating Arsenal last season, he is fully committed to his new club.

"Since I've been here, everybody's been very nice with me, the manager, all the staff, the players, everything's been very good," he said,

"I really wanted to come to Arsenal because I think it's good for me, the players are young players like me, the manager is French like me.

"I have a lot of respect for Chelsea - it's a good club Chelsea - but now I want to be an Arsenal player."

Diarra has quickly earnt a reputation for his versatility but is in no doubt of his favoured role, especially in a team playing the kind of football for which Arsenal have become renowned in the last decade.

"I can play right-back or left-back for the team. But my real position is midfield," he said.

"We play quick, two or three touches, everybody touches the ball. When you play midfield in a team like this it's very good because you enjoy it."
