Alessandro Diamanti is in the dark over West Ham United's pursuit of former Livorno teammate Antonio Candreva.

The young midfielder has been linked with West Ham ahead of the January market and Diamanti admits he's not surprised by the interest.

Diamanti said: "We've played together for two years, this is nothing new for me, I know what he can do. Candreva is not a surprise.

"Now he's playing with consistency. He is not lacking anything to be a champion."
