Di Matteo convinced he's found ideal system for Chelsea players

Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo feels he's found the ideal system for his players.

Six wins and 19 points from seven outings leaves us four points clear at the top, with the manager committed to a 4-2-3-1 shape removed from the traditional Chelsea 4-3-3. It was a change he implemented after replacing Andre Villas-Boas in March, and Di Matteo believes it is a case of finding the system that best fits the group.

"You always look at the group of players you have available. We changed it last season and the players found themselves comfortable with the system," he explained to chelseafc.com. "It worked well for us and has given the team a solid basis to work on, so we continue with it. It's a basic system that offers flexibility during the games, but the shape of the team is most important when we're not in possession."
