France coach Didier Deschamps is happy for Steve Mandanda over his move to Crystal Palace.

The goalkeeper left Olympique Marseille for Palace this summer.

Deschamps commented: "I have not found him any different. He changed country, he is less in control now, it's true. He has to get used to his new teammates, the specifics of the club's position as compared to what he has experienced in L1.

"He's happy, he's happy. He has been nine years in Marseille, he wanted to move on. It is to the top. He returned later, he spent a short month with his new teammates.

"This is the beginning of the adventure but I've not seen him different compared to the Steve that I knew during the Euros."
