Didier Deschamps has emerged as a shock target for Manchester City.

The Sun says City chief executive Alistair Mackintosh flew to Paris on Tuesday to talk to the former French skipper.

Deschamps is on the market having quit as boss of Juventus despite guiding the Turin giants back into Serie A.

But the job has not yet been offered to Didi, 38, because of the ongoing uncertainty over ex-Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's takeover of the club after his assets were frozen.
