Derby County are set to learn the fate of their appeal against a 12-point deduction next week.
The Championship outfit, managed by Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, are in administration and bottom of the Championship as a result of the points penalty.
According to Rule 12.10.2 of the EFL regulations, clubs can appeal points penalties if there is a "Fore Majeure event" that caused their insolvency.
Derby will argue the COVID-19 pandemic falls under that category.
There is also a suggestion that US businessman Chris Kirchner may look to buy the club, as he recently attended matches at Pride Park, per the Daily Mail.
