Derby County are chasing West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne.
The Daily Express says Nigel Clough is battling it out with Birmingham City to sign West Brom midfielder Thorne on loan.
Thorne, 18, has been cleared for a temporary move away from the Hawthorns by Albion boss Roy Hodgson.
