Derby boss Billy Davies is unhappy with comments made by Wales manager John Toshack over his striker Robert Earnshaw.

Earnshaw, 26, has not figured for the Rams in five weeks and has yet to score since his summer move from Norwich. And his last 90 minutes and goal for Wales came against Cyprus a year ago.

Toshack said: "Earnie needs to have a good look at himself. We have been concerned about him for some time.

"In nine months he has not got a 90-minute performance in and that must be a concern."

But Davies hit back: "He should get his facts right. Of the nine months, Earnie was out for four with a torn groin and two of the months were the summer break, so he has only played for about three since January."
