Departing Real Madrid captain Marcelo: I will be doing something with the club

Departing Real Madrid captain Marcelo says he won't completely cut ties with the club.

Marcelo has intimated he plans to play on next season.

But after winning the Champions League, he also stated: "This is one of the greatest moments of my life, at the best club in the world.

"Today's not a day for sadness, but joy as we've won the best competition in the world once again. I feel great pride. Thanks a lot for all the magical nights we've had here. I just want to say one thing, the future of Madrid is in great hands with the youngsters. Hala Madrid!"

“It's the end of an era for me, but I'm going to do something with the club. I've experienced 16 years of joy at the greatest club in the world and I never thought I'd win 25 trophies. Real Madrid means a lot from the first day you arrive."
