Departing Chelsea striker Loic Remy wants London stay

Chelsea striker Loic Remy wants to stay in London.

Remy would prefer a move to Crystal Palace because he wants to stay in London, says the London Evening Standard.

Palace are just one of a number of clubs who are looking at acquiring the France international on loan or on a permanent basis.

Lyon, Villarreal, Galatasaray and Besiktas are also in the hunt, while Chelsea have been looking to use him as part of a deal to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

But the 29-year-old, who was one of several Chelsea fringe players involved in a friendly behind closed doors against Brentford yesterday, is keen to remain in the capital.
