Clint Dempsey is desperate for a start at Fulham. USA international Dempsey, 25, moved to Craven Cottage from Americans New England Revolution two years ago.

He helped Fulham extend their unbeaten run to nine games against Chelsea with his fourth goal this term.

Dempsey added: "Along with Jimmy Bullard and Simon Davies I think I've been here the longest, which is crazy.

"But I've showed I can play at this level. I'm trying to be a part of this wave that we're on."
