Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has no doubts about the quality of Ashley Westwood.

Westwood signed for Villa from Crewe Alexandra in August.

Delph said: "Ashley is a terrific player technically and he is up there with the best in our team, he said. Playing in the lower leagues, I wouldn't knock it and wouldn't change it for anything. The step up here is massive. Myself and Westy are the same age so we can relate to each other. I can see him getting a run in the team very soon and doing well.

"With the lower leagues, you play twice a week most of the time and the physical side of it is really up there.

"Everybody is fit and willing to make a tackle.

"When you make the step up it is a bit nicer, but it is a lot more technical and you have got to adjust to that."
