Juventus great Alessandro del Piero has sung the praises of Paulo Dybala at AS Roma.

Dybala struck twice as Roma defeated Fiorentina on Sunday.

Del Piero said: “Dybala chose Roma over other teams, surely if you feel loved you are fine and he perceived it from the beginning, Rome welcomed him with a standing ovation precisely for having chosen Roma.

"Even at the World Cup we saw a team that won by playing in the old fashioned way, all ten available. It is not obvious that the players want to do it, even if the ten is called (Lionel) Messi.

"In current football everyone has to run a lot, if he does it now it's because he has a mentality and spirit of sacrifice also given by his years at Juventus. In Roma he found everything he needed, both he and (Tammy) Abraham understood tonight that numbers don't always determine whether you have had a good season or not."
