Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein says stadium development plans will give Tottenham a huge financial boost.

"In some senses, Tottenham are similar to Arsenal in that they have now outgrown their old stadium," said Dein.

"I am quite confident that Spurs, with their large fan base can fill a 60,000-seater ground. They have two options, either redeveloping White Hart Lane or building a new ground away from their current home.

"Both options bring plenty of challenges and my advice would be to consult widely before making their decision."
