Jermain Defoe is back in training at Tottenham.

Defoe has started training with a ball after the ankle ligament damage suffered on England duty in early September, although it will pose a selection dilemma for Harry Redknapp, who admits his four strikers will be contesting one place.

"It's very difficult to get two strikers in and Van der Vaart," said Redknapp.

"You're really looking to play with one striker and Rafa because Rafa will score as many goals as most strikers and he gives you other bits."
