Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his Tottenham players after their friendly with a Malaysia XI on Wednesday.

Spurs won 2-1 at the Shah Alam Stadium in Kuala Lumpur thanks to a brace from Harry Kane in a match which Pochettino felt was difficult for his players who recently completed their Premier League season.

"It was tough on our players, the weather is the opposite to England," he said.

"We played on Sunday (against Everton), took a flight on Monday, arrived on Tuesday and played on Wednesday.

"It's not the best conditions. But the players' dedication was fantastic."

Tottenham will not travel to Australia to take on A-League club Sydney FC at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
