De Gea asks Man Utd to sell him to Real Madrid...

David de Gea has asked Manchester United to sell him to Real Madrid, it has been revealed.

Marca says United boss Jose Mourinho has come to accept that De Gea's move is inevitable.

And it's suggested United will replace him with Joe Hart – who is currently owned by cross-town rivals City and is on loan at Torino.

Real accept that they will have to pay a world record transfer fee for De Gea, smashing the £32.6million Juventus paid Parma for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.

If the deal does happen Mourinho is keen to negotiate for two key Real forwards in a bid to improve United's attacking options.

Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez are top of his list, with the pair in and out of favour under Zinedine Zidane - although both scored in Real Madrid's 6-2 thumping of Deportivo.
