De Bruyne wants BVB move as Chelsea Schurrle deal faces collapse

Chelsea's deal for Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle is on the brink of collapse. The Daily Mail says Kevin de Bruyne rejected a move to Bayer Leverkusen in favour of a transfer to Borussia Dortmund, which is threatening the Schurrle transfer. Bayer had wanted the Belgian in a part swap.

De Bruyne is unwilling to be forced out on loan to another club against his wishes.

No fee has been agreed between the clubs but Dortmund are prepared to pay £13million for De Bruyne and, although Chelsea are keen on Schurrle and would prefer to retain De Bruyne for at least one more year, they may be tempted by the cash ahead of what promises to be another summer or rebuilding with a new manager under the pressure of UEFA's Financial Fair Play.

Does Chelsea risk having egg on their faces choosing Schurrle over De Bruyne? Give us your shout below...
