Southampton goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has rejected an offer from West Ham United.

The Sun says the keeper, 32, trained with the Hammers this week and was offered a two-year deal to be understudy to England star Rob Green.

But Davis yesterday opted to stay at the relegated Saints and spearhead their bid to bounce back into the Championship.

He signed a new three-year deal after snubbing the Premiership offer.
