David Silva set to sign short-term Man City deal amid MLS interest

Manchester City star David Silva is ready to sign a short term extension with the club.

Silva wants to continue playing with City for the remainder of this season, both domestically and in the Champions League.

The Spanish veteran was set to leave this summer after ten years at the club, and was linked with a move to MLS.

But ESPN reports that Silva will agree a new deal with City to see him through the coming months.

The Premier League is likely to resume in mid June, while no date for the resumption of the Champions League has been set.

Silva wants to be part of the City squad that finally wins the Champions League this season, as it is a trophy he has not won in his career.

He has been with City since 2010, making over 400 appearances for the club.
