David de Gea now ready to stick with Man Utd

David de Gea is now ready to stick with Manchester United for next season.

The Sun says United's qualification for the Champions League has increased hopes of the stopper staying at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old keeper is contracted to Manchester United until 2019 and the club has the option of extending it by an additional year.

Jose Mourinho left fans filled with hope last week as he said he expected De Gea's next United appearance to be in their pre-season tour opener against the LA Galaxy.

Yet it has been rumoured that United had touched base with Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak's representatives and been scouting Benfica's Brazilian Ederson, in the event De Gea would return to Madrid.
