Daryl Janmaat and Daniel Bachmann win new Watford deals

Watford have handed new contracts to Daryl Janmaat and Daniel Bachmann.

Janmaat will remain at the club until 2022.

The Dutchman said: "We spoke for a bit and I decided to sign a new deal and that's good and I'm happy with it.

"You want to be important and you want to help the team, but I couldn't and I had to focus as well on my own rehab and make sure that I was back good, fit and strong and that's what I did and of course you want to see the team winning and you like to see them taking the points we need, but we have 11 finals left and I'm glad that I can help the team the last part of the season."

Goalkeeper Bachmann committed his future to the Hornets until 2024, and added: "I've signed a long term contract, that's all sorted.

'We've been talking about it for quite a while to be honest and I've said before I'm happy here, obviously I've not had the best of luck with game time, but as a goalkeeper you have to be patient and I feel like it's the right club for me to develop and to become a good Premier League goalkeeper."
