Danny Ward hoping for Bolton chance

Fit-again striker Danny Ward hopes to find a place in Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle's plans.

Ward was forced to undergo surgery in October - and has suffered another setback with further complications after the operation which has seen him sidelined for three months.

"It's a great opportunity for me with the injuries and suspensions we've had," he told the Bolton News.

"I'm going to speak to the gaffer in the next couple of weeks. He's been monitoring my performances in the last two reserve games to see what he wants to do and we'll take it from there.

"It's about getting first-team football so I would go out on loan but my main aim is to stay at Bolton and get in the first team here.

"I signed a new three-year deal before I went to Coventry and it's great the gaffer has shown that support in me but it's nothing to fall back on.

"I've just got to keep working hard and try and impress him."
