Dallas owner Hunt: We will be talked about with likes of Rangers, Mavericks
FC Dallas owner Clark Hunt believes the side’s appearance in the 2010 MLS Cup final will have people talking about them in the same breath as some bigger sporting clubs in the area.
Hunt says that the Dallas soccer team would be pushed into the limelight alongside the teams from MLB, NBA and NHL after reaching the play-off.
“I would like to think that FC Dallas, with our appearance in the Cup, will be talked about in the same light as the Texas Rangers this year, as the Dallas Mavericks and as the Dallas Stars,” Hunt said.
“Having success on the field is important for any fan base, and to some degree it’s particularly important in Dallas because we have such a culture of success in Dallas.”
