Dalglish: Torres gives Chelsea edge on Man Utd

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish reckons Chelsea have the edge on Champions League opponents Manchester United - thanks to Fernando Torres.

Dalglish wrote in his column for the Mail on Sunday: "The reality is this year's Champions League will be decided on the field, not by sentiment. And you won't get a tougher tie than Chelsea against Manchester United.

"United lost 2-1 to Chelsea last month in the league and all hell broke loose. But this time a 2-1 Chelsea win in the first leg would be OK for United. They fancy their chances against anyone at Old Trafford if they are still within touching distance.

"I expect a very cautious game. United don't have to go chasing the match and, unless there is an early goal, you can expect a game of attrition. Both teams know each other so well, there won't be anything that can surprise them.

"I'm sure Fernando Torres will tell his team-mates Nemanja Vidic has been sent off three times playing against him. In such a tight game, anything that gives you an edge is good."
