Liverpool chief Kenny Dalglish hopes to meet with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher in South Africa to discuss Rafa Benitez's departure.

But England coach Fabio Capello was quick to lay down the rules for a potential visit after the shock departure of Anfield manager Rafa Benitez.

Kop hero Dalglish is now helping the Reds to find a replacement and will want to talk with two of the club's biggest names.

But Capello would not welcome any distractions to the England camp.

He said: "We are focused on the World Cup, not club problems. We are focused on training every day, that's it."
