Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is delighted for his players after winning the Carling Cup on Sunday.
He credited the players, particularly the most recent arrivals for the way they have settled in.
"It's difficult to come into a club like this and have a good transition," he told liverpoolfc.tv. "To get some silverware in their first year, it's great credit to every single one of them, not just the new boys.
"They've accepted each other and they are a very close-knit bunch of players.
"The disappointing thing is that some of them had to be left out [of the final], but even the ones who were left out were there and felt part of it and really enjoyed the celebrations after it."
