Dalglish believes Blackburn had no choice

Former Blackburn Rovers boss Kenny Dalglish has shared his views on the Paul Ince matter, saying the club have done the right thing although he believes Ince to be a promising manager of the game.

"It's a big disappointment for Paul but it's also a big disappointment for the club that they have to go round and sack the manager because Blackburn are a good club, they don't do things on a whim," he told Setanta Sports News.

"They think about things pretty diligently and then go from there.

"It was a difficult situation for them. If they had given him money to spend in January and it doesn't work out, there'll be none left for the new guy coming in.

"At this moment there might be some available and the guy coming in will have a couple of weeks to look at the players.

"They're five points from safety but they've given themselves plenty of time to turn it around. The new guy has got half a season to catch up five points."
