Dario Dainelli has urged Fiorentina fans to back the team this season after losing Luca Toni to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

"Some important players have left us," admitted the defender, "and our preseason form hasn't been thrilling.

"However, we're still getting used to a new system and new teammates. We must not panic. Florence is a big football city and it's normal that there are high expectations.

"But just look at last season. We had 19 points deducted, but still reached the UEFA Cup places. There's enough time for us to have a big season at home and in Europe this year."
