Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina should already be a Barcelona player, says his Dad.

Reina is currently playing on-loan at Napoli.

Speaking to Minuto 116, Reina's father, Miguel, said that the Spanish giants had a deal in place to sign his son.

"A few months ago Pepe was in talks with Barcelona. They had an agreement and he was all set to go," said Reina senior.

"But in the end Victor Valdes did not leave. That's why the transfer fell through."
