The father of Borussia Monchengladbach defender Andreas Christensen has fired a fresh warning at Chelsea.

The Dane is expected to return to parent club Chelsea at the end of this season after two years on-loan at Gladbach.

However, after establishing himself as a first-choice at Gladbach, Christensen's father and agent, Sten insists Andreas won't return to simply sit on the bench.

"Andreas should not sit on the bench. He has been playing for two seasons. Therefore, it is also the plan for the future that he will play every week," Sten told Ekstra Bladet.

Sten also denied reports that Christensen will be part of a Chelsea swp offer for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.
