The father of Martin Odegaard has defended the Stromsgodset starlet over his extensive European club tour.

The 16 year-old Norway international is set to visit Manchester United and Manchester City this week, having spent time with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

Ajax is also slated to entertain Odegaard in January.

"I don't care what others think, since we have no influence," says Hans Erik Ødegaard, the father of Martin. "We do what we think is best for him.

"But we also notice that everyone here today has an opinion about it."
