The father of Valencia winger Juan Mata cannot rule out a move away.
Mata was linked with Manchester City in the weekend press, where he would join ex-Valencia teammate and good friend David Silva.
Father and agent, Juan Manuel Mata Rodriguez, told TMW: "Of course, the conversation would change if Valencia at some point were in need to sell him.
"At that point we will only listen to offers from major clubs.
"The player would need to take a step forward, not backward .. But then again, at the moment he is happy at Valencia."
