Former Barcelona South American scout Andre Cury has lifted the lid on their failed deal for Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior.

Cury has revealed that the former Flamengo forward was close to moving to Catalonia and that he used to be a fan of the Blaugrana.

"Vinicius is a Cule, like really Cule," Cury revealed on Cadena Ser's 'Que T'hi Jugues' show.

"He cried when Barcelona completed their comeback over PSG, when they won 6-1.

"He was ready to sign for Barcelona too. His two agents were close friends of mine.

"But, at the last minute, they betrayed me and the club. Since 2017, we no longer speak."
