Curtis relaxed as interim Swansea manager

Alan Curtis says he's happy to continue managing Swansea in the short term despite the lack of assurances over his future.

Curtis remains focused on activities on the pitch and said: "If we had lost four games then there would have been huge pressure on the club to appoint a new manager.

"But the results and performances have been good. Most importantly the performances are good. We've shown a lot of spirit and character and showed the ability to play the type of game we want to play."

Asked if a statement from the club's board to clarify his long term future would be beneficial, Curtis said: "It may help but I would never look for that.

"I'm quite comfortable with the situation we are in. It's a day by day basis and things could change.

"I don't need any statement. You just do what you're paid to do and prepare the club. I prepare the team for the weekend and you just carry on doing that until the situation changes and we do appoint somebody."
