CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia is interesting Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says Damien Comolli and Kenny Dalglish were keen to take the 25 year old to Anfield with his proven strike rate as they considered options to rectify their poor goals return.

CSKA have put a £26m buy-out clause in Doumbia's contract but his representatives are hopeful that can be reduced.

He is eager to come to England and has impressed with his strike rate in Russia and Europe. Arsenal have also watched Doumbia in the past but they want to see how Robin van Persie's contract talks develop.
