Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out for six-eight weeks with a knee injury.

The Belgian striker suffered the injury in the 5-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday, and according to the Mail, he underwent a scan on Monday that confirmed the extent of his injury.

The latest injury is a huge blow to Palace, who are yet to score a goal in the league this season and are rooted to the bottom of the table.

Eagles are already missing striker Conor Wickham with a knee injury.
