Crystal Palace's Scouse defender Scott Dann was thrilled with his winner at Liverpool yesterday.

Dann headed home late on to earn the three points at Anfield.

“I've had dreams of scoring here and I'd a feeling before the game that I was going to score," said Dann. “I'll probably get some stick from family and friends, but they support me as well!"

Alan Pardew said: “I think he had about 15 family members there today. He was asking for tickets off everybody.

“His goals sums him up because you could see he was going to win that ball, no-one was going to stop him.

“He defends like that and I really think he has been underestimated throughout his career and I would never have said that until I managed him.

“Now I manage him and I understand how good he is, and he can be very proud of his performance and everything he did."
