Crystal Palace are launching a bid for QPR striker Charlie Austin.
The Daily Mail says Palace will turn their attention to a bid to sign Austin from Queens Park Rangers once they complete a club record deal for Yohan Cabaye.
Palace boss Alan Pardew has assured Cabaye that he has plans for more ambitious transfer targets this summer with a new centre-forward a top priority.
Palace will attempt to strike a deal with an opening offer of £6m plus players, with Fraizer Campbell, Barry Bannan, Adrian Mariappa and Adlene Guedioura available in part-exchange.
