Crystal Palace No2 Millen: Pardew has nothing to prove to Newcastle

Crystal Palace assistant boss Keith Millen insists Alan Pardew has nothing to prove to Newcastle United.

Millen doesn't expect the former Toon manager to be jeered by his old fans.

"I am sure the people of Newcastle who really know the game realise what a great job he did do," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

"He's come to Palace and has done a great job here. He's the Palace manager now and the main thing for us is getting the three points.

"Alan did a great job at Newcastle, he's got nothing to prove to them and he knows that.

"We were disappointed on Monday because we had a couple of decent results leading into the game.

"Now we have to bounce back and for a long time we've done that. It doesn't matter who we play against, we have to bounce back.

"The good thing about this group of lads is that they've done that in their careers.

"We are going to make sure the mindset is right, it's a big game, but it's more about us getting three points."
