Crystal Palace are moving for Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini.

The People says Eagles boss Alan Pardew is switching his attention from Swansea City's Ashley Williams to his former skipper at Newcastle United.

The Argentine won the north-east's player-of-the-year while working under Pardew and he will have a friendly face in former team-mate Yohan Cabaye if he pitches up at Selhurst Park.

The centre-half did not have the best of times last season at St James's Park but Pardew remains a big fan.
