Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams has been hit by a heavy injury blow.

The Welshman landed heavily on his arm as Ipswich Town won 3-2 at Wigan Athletic on Saturday, with Williams making his first start during his fourth loan spell with the Tractor Boys, says the Croydon Advertiser.

It has since been confirmed that he has had to undergo shoulder surgery, meaning he now faces around three months on the sidelines.
