Crystal Palace are closing on a deal for Manchester United fullback Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

The Daily Star says the teenager, who can play as a defensive midfielder or anywhere across the backline, is set to have a medical at Palace today ahead of a season long loan move to the Eagles

The move would see 19-year-old Fosu-Mensah, who has received international call ups for the Netherlands up to U21 level, team up with his countryman, Frank de Boer at Selhurst Park.

It is believed that while Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho could not guarantee Fosu-Mensah first team action this season, de Boer is willing to give the teen a chance to show he can cut it in the Premier League.
