Crystal Palace might prove to be the surprise destination for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The 29-year old midfielder has failed to retain a regular starting spot in Laurent Blanc's star-studded PSG side and is searching for regular playing time.
Palace's manager Alan Pardew has previously worked with Cabaye at Newcastle United and hopes a deal can be struck with the French International.
"We want to compete with teams like Newcastle, Aston Villa, Everton and maybe even Spurs in the transfer market this summer," Pardew told ESPN FC last month.
"While we cannot compete with some of those clubs in terms of budgets, we can look to attract the kind of players they are also in the market for. If we could add that kind of quality of player to this current group, then we have a chance to push on."
