The 30-year old Bulgarian defender has now returned to Leicester City after spending three months at Selhurst Park and after impressing in nine league appearances, could be back in South London early next year according to Eagles manager Dougie Freedman.

"I've not drawn a line through Tunchev returning. We'll try to get him back in January,” he said.

"I'm hoping we've done enough as a club in the way we've treated him that we can do something if Leicester don't want him."
