England coach Gareth Southgate praised Marc Guehi after their 1-1 draw with Ukraine.

The Crystal Palace defender was a rare highlight for the bore draw.

Southgate said: "It was a great test for a young centre back. He came through it really well, great composure and never looked ruffled."

Commentating on the game, former Arsenal defender Matthew Upson also said: "There wasn't masses of defending to do for England and sometimes those are the harder games because the team is spread and you have lots of possession high up the pitch.

"I thought Marc Guehi looked good on the ball, he was moving it well and looked comfortable."
