Crystal Palace are closing on a deal for West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

The England international's deal with WBA expires this month.

The Athletic reports Johnstone has agreed a Bosman transfer to Selhurst Park.

He will battle with 35-year-old Vicente Guaita for first-choice status, while Jack Butland is expected to fall to third choice.

Johnstone was part of England's Euros squad last summer.
