Crystal Palace captain Milivojevic sorry for fans after FA Cup defeat

Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic was sorry for the fans after their FA Cup defeat to Watford.

The midfielder regrets they no longer have the chance to take their fans to Wembley.

He said: "We think that we didn't deserve to lose this game, I think we didn't create a lot of chances but they didn't as well. It's very disappointing especially because of our fans – we had a big wish to bring them to Wembley. I think the second goal was very cheap, we pushed at the end and had a few good chances but in the end we lost."

But the Serbian found some positives to take, saying: "I think for most of the second half, we controlled. We had possession and we controlled, we played the most of the second half in their half of the pitch. As I said, maybe we didn't create clear-cut chances but we had before Michy's goal we had his chance, we had Max Meyer's at the corner with his head, we had in the end Wan-Bissaka's chance and a few more shots as well.

"As I said, today we conceded a very cheap goal in the second half that put us down. We tried in the end to change and to score one more to go to extra time but we didn't have luck. I'm very disappointed, especially for the fans."
